LaNTITE
LANTITE is a requirement in ACU's Education courses. If you are planning to transfer to the Bachelor of Education (Primary) at ACU, it is highly recommended that you work towards completing LANTITE during this Diploma Pathway.
It is a regulatory requirement that all graduates from an initial teaching qualification must either pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Educators (LaNTITE) or meet the Australian First Nations language proficiency alternative.

Please note that study modes and unit availability are subject to change and not all units are on offer at all times. Units might be offered in different modes (attendance, multi-mode or online). If you are unsure which mode is the most suitable for you, please contact your course coordinator prior to enrolling.
Minimum enrolment numbers apply to all units. The University reserves the right to cancel units with low enrolment numbers. Students will be advised of cancellations prior to the start of semester and offered an alternative unit if one is available. You must enrol for the whole academic year if you commence in Semester 1 or if you are re-enrolling. You can change your enrolment up until the census date for each semester or professional term. Transferring to your Teaching Degree
Eligibility to Transfer to a Teaching Degree
- International Students must complete the full Diploma (1st year) before they are able to apply for their chosen Bachelor-level Teaching degree (due to VISA requirements). Please contact your International advisor regarding the process to transfer.
- Domestic students can apply to transfer to their chosen Bachelor-level Teaching degree towards the end of their first year. Submit a transfer request through the 'My Enrolment' tab in Student Connect by the required date. There may be additional admission requirements for your course.
Important dates for applications to transfer into a Bachelor-level teaching degree.
- Semester 2 transfer - applications open mid-April and close 31 May
- Semester 1 transfer - applications open mid-September and close 31 October
Receiving Credit for your Completed Units
If your transfer is successful, you will need to submit an application form to have the relevant units credited towards your new course. Please note that units EDLA115, EDMA115 and DPED100 are not credited into a Bachelor of Education course. However, they will be counted towards the completion of the Diploma (80 credit points).You may submit a Credit Application Form via this link: https://acu.service-now.com/rpl
